Gistify ("we," "our," or "the Extension") is a Chrome Extension designed to summarize your Chrome Reading List using AI. We prioritize your privacy and aim to be transparent about how data is handled.

2. Data Collection and Usage

Gistify is built with a privacy-first architecture:

Personally Identifiable Information (PII): We do NOT collect, store, or transmit any PII.
Reading List Content: Data is sent directly to the Google Gemini API for the sole purpose of generating summaries.
Google Gemini API: Content is processed by Google's Generative AI models. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details.

3. Data Storage

All application state, including your generated Gists and API keys, is stored locally on your device using the chrome.storage.local API. We do not maintain any remote databases.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties for marketing. Data is only shared with the Google Gemini API as required for the core functionality.
